The Devbagh Beach
The Devbagh Beach, is a must for beach lovers. Karwar also has a
port protected from harsh winds by 5 islands. This little town's
other attractions include: The Sadashivgad Hill Fort with a Durga
temple and the Naganath temple where an anthill is worshipped. October

The Om Beach and the Kutle Beach
The
Om Beach and the Kutle Beach nearby to Gokarna ( Literally meaning
the cow's ear, this town is formed by the ear-shaped confluence

to Shiva emerging from the ears of the cow., are worth a visit.)
Gokarna is famous for the`Atmalinga' in the ancient temple here.
According to legend, Lord Ganapati tricked Ravana into putting down
the Linga after a long penance. But Ravana was unable to lift the
Linga from the ground again. And ever since, the Linga came to be
known as Mahabala. The place can be visited all the year round.
Parambur Beach
This is the most frequentlyvisited beach and lies next to the harbour.
The ships anchored out in the sea waiting for berthin the harbour
can be seen from the beach which present an attractive picture.
This beach is 10km from Mangalore.
Ullal Beach
Situated 5 km away from
mangalore,this is one of the best beaches of Karnataka. It faces
to the Arabian sea and hence offer the visitor an incomparable view.
Murudeshwar
This picturesque
place is situated 16 km from Bhatkal. Bounded by the shimmering
sea and rolling hills, this place is a favourite tourist spot. It
is known for the gorgeous temple perched on a hillock by the shore.
The temple which embodies a Linga is believed to have erupted when
Ravana flung the cloth covering the Atmalinga at Gokarna while lifting
it. As one ascends the hillock, there is a shrine of Jattiga seated
on a horse. There is a huge fort behind the temple, said to have
been renovated by Tipu. The place can be visited all the year round.
Malpe Beach
This
beach is 66 km north of Mangalore and 6 km from Udupi.Malpe with
its sheltered harbour makes a quiet beach retreat, just six kilometres
away from Udupi, the temple town, renowned for a fascinating idol
of Lord Krishna. It is a popular picnic spot due to the pristine
beauty and peaceful surrounding of its virgin beach. The endless
stretch of golden sand, swaying Palm trees, clear blue sky and the
gurgle of the sea attracts tourists to this spot. Between October
- January is the best time to visit this place. The St Mary's Island
is another delightful holiday destination. It is just a boat ride
away.
Close to Malpe is Ullal,
yet another beach resort, the silvery beaches of which command breathtaking
views of the sunset, especially, when viewed through the casuarina
groves.
Maravanthe
Marwanthe is a unique
seaside town, where the West Coast Highway cruises along with the
Arabian Sea on one side, and the river Sauparnika rushes against
a verdant mountainous backdrop on the other. It is 110 km north
of Mangalore and has a scenic beach. Baindur is a small town, 45
km from Maravanthe. It has a beautiful beach nearby. Ottanane near
Baindur is famous for its glorious sunset.Watersports and beach
resorts promise an enjoyable holiday here.
Karwar
Karwar
